WTEA Professional Development

NJ PD Standards for Teachers

Everyone, regardless of date of hire, is back to needing 100 hours over five years. It is strongly suggested that each of us get 20 hours a year.

Professional Development Hours:

Opening day was worth 3 hours of professional development
The October 9th in-service is worth 6 hours of professional development
Check the NJEA Professional Learning Page for links to on-line classes, which are a great way to get hours. Each one credit course is worth 15 hours.

Funds for this project were obtained through an NJEA Frederick Hipp Excellence in Education Grant that was awarded to the 2008-2009 Professional Development Committee.
